- 3 cups sugar
- 3 cups cake flour
- 6 eggs
- 1/2 pound butter
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 pt whipping cream
- Cream together sugar and butter.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add alternatively, while blending, the whipping cream and flour.
- Add vanilla and continue to blend.
- Pour into greased and floured tube pan.
- Bake at 300 degrees for 1 and 1/2 to 2 hours. (put in a cold oven, do not preheat).
