Southwest Cilantro Lime Salad

Salad

Ingredients:

Large head of romaine
15 oz. can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 large orange bell pepper
1 pint cherry tomatoes
2 cups frozen, thawed corn
5 green onions
Dressing:
1 cup loosely packed cilantro, stems removed and roughly chopped
1/2 Avocado
Juice of 1 lime
2 Garlic cloves
1/4 cup olive oil
1 1/2 tsp. white wine vinegar
1/8 tsp. salt
2 tsp Nature Nate’s honey
Directions:

1. Puree all dressing ingredients in a food processor/blender until smooth.
2. Taste and adjust seasonings if necessary.
3. Finely chop romaine, bell pepper, tomatoes, and green onions.
4. Place all ingredients in a large bowl and stir to combine.
5. Toss with homemade cilantro-lime dressing.

Bloomin’ Onion Bread

Makes about 6-8 servings

1 pound (400-450 g) unsliced loaf bread
3.5 oz (100 g) Matured Cheddar Cheese , thinly sliced
3.5 oz (100g) Mozzarella Cheese, thinly sliced
1/3 cup (70 g) butter, melted
1/2 cup green onions, chopped (about 4-5 green onions)
2 tsp flax and sesame seeds, optiona

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 F (180C). Cut the bread lengthwise and widthwise without cutting all the way through the bottom crust. Place it on a foil lined baking sheet. Combine chopped onions with butter and seeds if used. Arrange cheese slices between the bread cuts. Pour the butter-onion mixture into bread cracks. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Unwrap and bake for another 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and gooey.

Pierogi Lasagna

Make mashed potatoes

Brown onions with salt and petter

Butter casserole dish

Place no bake noodles then mashed potatoes then onions then cheddar cheese. Then repeat till last layer which is noodles with cheese on top.

Bake at 375 degrees for 30 mins

Chipotle Guac

  • 2 ripe Hass Avocados
  • 2 tsp lime juice
  • 2 tbsp chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1/2 jalapeño finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  1. Choose the right avocado. It should feel squishy yet firm (like the palm of your hand) and be a nice dark green color on the inside.
  2. Cut the avocado in half and remove the pit.
  3. Scoop the avocados and place in a medium bowl.
  4. Toss and coat with lime juice.
  5. Add the salt and using a fork or potato masher, mash until a smooth consistency is achieved.
  6. Fold in the remaining ingredients and mix well.
  7. Adjust seasoning if necessary.

Dry Onion Soup Mix

  • 2/3 cup dried, minced onion
  • 3 teaspoons parsley flakes
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper

Mix all ingredients together and mix well. Use 4 tablespoons in a recipe in place of one packet of store bought onion soup mix.
